Why we do
what we do...
Family Tree Toys is owned and operated by a Mom and Dad (that's us, but you can call us Karen and Chris Weppner, if you like!). You know we have children's interests in our hearts and on our minds!
We live in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho a town of about 25,000, on a small farm nestled in a valley between the mountains and several lakes. Timber harvest is a major industry here, and we do our part to make sure none goes to waste!
We started making toys to create a more wholesome, imaginative play environment
for our children. We wanted an alternative to today's throwaway plastics and cartoon spinoffs.
We wanted our children to have toys that they would cherish, and be proud to share with their children.
All of our toys are made as if they were for our own kids.In fact, they were! Each design is submitted to the rigors of our four children first.
We are craftsmen, not manufacturers, so every piece of every toy is handled individually. This guarantees its uniqueness, quality and character.
No two are ever the same! With the growing concern over toy safety, you can rest assured that no harmful substances are used in crafting our toys.
